Lot's of Ups and Downs for the Bengaluru FC in the First Half of the League. Here is our review on the Blues performance so far.

Bengaluru FC, repeating itself from the previous season. The performance of the team has shown no improvement having lost 4 matches, drawn 4 and won 2. They are currently placed 9th in the points table.

We all know that Bengaluru FC from past had always performed well, and because of their performance in 2019-20 season, they had the chance to play in AFC Cup.
After major changes, Bengaluru prepared for the league early. All the foreign players left except Cleiton Silva.

They started well with winning two matches to make it to the group stages from the preliminary round. But they lacked coordination which was exploited by the opponents.

START OF THE LEAGUE

They started on high note as they won 4-2 against Northeast United FC. It was a great start but after that they lost 4 matches and dropped points in rest of the matches due to poor attacking and missed opportunities.

CHHETRI AND BFC

Whenever Chhetri's name is heard, it gives the fans goosebumps because of his stature and his brilliant career but in this season he's not up to the mark, not scoring even once in 10 matches, missing 2 penalties on the trott.
This made things difficult for the team as Silva became the only primary goalscorer.

REASONS FOR THIS PERFORMANCE

The problem with the BFC is changing the team as new players take time to adjust but it is very difficult to perform when nothing is working out.
It hampers the team and even good players suffer from it.

Then the playing style, which is very difficult to accomodate. BFC going 4-3-3 is simply made of striking players left on wide positions.
Poor response from the midfield, is also the reason because they never created much opportunities to create goal.

This vaccum of undergraduate was more disturbed with the injuries for Udanta, Leon, King.

Because they provided a long standing stability to the team and we can see, how badly team needs Udanta.

With King out, defense conceded cheap goals which turns winnable games to a loss or a draw.

No AM in the team is quite surprising because it forces defensive midfielders like Suresh to perform both attacking & defensive duties. BFC will not find anything good in attack. But, Bruno and Suresh are not good in the attacking 3rd.

Then no proper use of the energetic players like Bidya, Siva. They can provide a better attacking role. Maybe due to their unstable defense, coach thinks it's risky and decided not to use them. But, not playing them properly can frustrate them and hampers their growth.

CONCLUSION

The league is really tight, with draws and losses for the top placed teams. BFC can surely cover the deficit and join to top 4.

But, it will only happen if they perform well and win the next remaining matches.
No doubt they have an amazing squad but the coach needs to find the proper formation and playing style to counter the opposition.

Players need to work out like they did in past few matches, for starters having not lost 5 matches on the trott is a great sign for the rebuild.

The league is still wide open until the jug is filled to the brim, anything is possible if everything works out well.

No More a Mid-Table Team! Here is our half-season review on Jamshedpur FC.

By Jeremiah Prince 21 January 2022 Since its inception in 2017, Jamshedpur FC is always a mid-table team. Though they had some good players they weren't able to reach the top 4. But this season, things changed. With good additions and with a good tactician in helm, they are looking very good so far and are now a serious contender for the ISL. Here is an article based on their performance so far.  With 4 Wins, 4 Draws and 2 Loses from 10 matches, Jamshedpur is second placed in league after 10 matches. START OF LEAGUE They retained three of their foreigners, Valskis, Lima and Hartley while leaving out the rest four. They brought in Murray and Eli Sabia from the league and experienced Greg Stewart from Rangers. They also brought some experienced Indians and young talents to bolster their squad.  They started their league with a 1-1 draw against Kolkata Giants, East Bengal.
